Students complete 40 hours of clinical practicum within an approved diabetes service to consolidate their learning as clinicians.
COMPLIANCE: Students are required to upload all category 1 compliance documents to the documents page in SONIA by Monday, 19 July 2021.
Information regarding compliance requirements is found on the PEU webpage: https://www.scu.edu.au/health/health-placements/student-compliance-requirements/
ALL students must submit compliance requirements including vaccinations evidence which will be verified by NSW Health. This is even if you are not from NSW or if your placement is in another state.
If you are registered with AHPRA or another body, please upload evidence of your registration to SONIA against the Qld Blue Card check - you may be exempt from the Qld BC.
All students are required to complete a First Aid/CPR course, including RNs. Basic Life Support is accepted in lieu of CPR only.
Students may be required to travel for placement. Where possible we will allocate you close to home but this may not always be possible due to facility capacity and ADEA requirements for placement.
Please be aware that placements may be subject to change even after they have been finalised due to factors beyond our control.
